Conspiracy is when someone is plotting to do something evil. A little after the 9/11 attacks people starting believing that there were conspiracies out there to follow after the 9/11 world changing moment. In Scott Sommers’s article, Who Still Believes in 9/11 Conspiracies, Scott believes that people are worried there are people out there still plotting to do something after these attacks on 9/11. He knows there have been riots and protesting that there hasn’t been any further research on these attacks. Scott found that there was a Facebook page that people who are in this group of those who are searching for more answers on the attacks discuss matters and places to meet. Scott expects there to be more riots and protesting on this matter because the 9/11 has affected a huge deal of people and those people want answers. For those that 9/11 didn’t affect, Scott, realizes that those people will not really worry about the attacks and won’t go out of their way to figure out some answers. Scott wishes that people would still have a voice even if the event doesn’t affect them personally.

Knowing that there are groups out there on Facebook that have been affected by the 9/11 attacks who want answers, show that people do have voices and will act on an issue when affected by the event. Scott’s knowledge on this certain worldly issue is benefitting for all because he flashes some good points about this problem. When something affects someone emotionally and mentally they will react in a way of solving a problem. They will go to all extents to get some answers. If an issue is occurring and that issue doesn’t affect someone, then that person will not do anything to resolve the issue. This in a way is selfish, with going back to the research question, will students protest about Julian Assange’s information being released from Wiki Leaks, students will only do something to an extreme if it affects them. Until the day people will have a voice during a time when the issue doesn’t affect them, will be the day when peace takes over.
