Jonathan Foreman wrote an article, The WikiLeaks War on America, and discusses how he views what Julian Assange is actually doing. Foreman believes that Assange is trying to reach out and show how the government is trying to hide information from the public. Foreman proclaims, while listening to Assange give a speech at a Forum, that Assange has all these secrets but doesn’t want to cause a huge commotion but really wants people to find out. Jonathon expects Julian to do the right thing, but doing the right thing may cause some commotion. Jonathon understands that secrets will be spilled out but doesn’t really have an idea on what the outcome will be. He wants good to come from Assange’s plan but is still a little sketchy about the whole creation. Foreman understands that Assange could be doing this in a negative manor, but doesn’t understand that, that could be Assange’s motive for this project. Foreman wants there to be a peaceful way to release this kind of information but doesn’t really know if there is a right way to do it.

This connects to my research question because even though Foreman doesn’t discuss about college students protesting he discusses how the society may view some of these secrets that Wikileaks is holding. With most articles about WikiLeaks, whatever is being released if the secret affects you, then you will protest and have a voice on that matter. Foreman informs us that Assange is very wise because he was able to hide and keep things away from the police and US government. We are dealing with an intelligent being because he holds many great things that may affect certain people in society. Because of the article Foreman wrote he presents his view on the situation and will hopefully open up some peoples eyes on this political technological issue. People should be informed on WikiLeaks, and Foreman helps explain what Assange really is thinking and wanting. We will find out one day if his secrets will affect college students to see if some may protest for or against Assange.
